Happy New Year 2015!

Hi Folks,

we wish you all a very Happy New Year 2015!

For me, 2015 already started with very good news:

I have been re-awarded Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional) for Windows Embedded for the 6th consecutive time. Congrats to all new and re-awarded MVPs!

MVP Summit 2013 3rd Day

Hi folks,

today I attended 2 technical sessions: one about the .NET Micro Framework and one about Kinect for Windows.

During the day, Nicolas and I also visited the Adeneo Embedded office in Bellevue, WA.

The day ended with the attendee party held at Century Link Field, with lots of activities such as singing along with a rockband, trying to score a goal against a real goalie, shooting Field goals,…

Yet again, this year’s MVP summit was a great and very valuable event – thank you Microsoft for making it possible. I am looking forward for next year’s MVP summit…

Have fun!

MVP Summit 2013 2nd Day

Hi folks,

today was the 2nd and last day of technical sessions with the Windows Embedded product group. In the morning we got a lot of technical details about Windows Embedded 8 Standard – sorry I can’t disclose any of them, yet.

The afternoon was a face-to-face meeting with the entire product group where we could and did tell Microsoft our thoughts on the Windows Embedded products, the upcoming releases, the market… It was great to be able to provide feedback to Microsoft to improve the Windows Embedded products. The afternoon started with a lunch with Kevin Dalles – Group Manager for Windows Embedded.

The day ended with beer and pizza with the product group where we had further interesting discussions…

Have fun!

MVP Summit 2013 1st Day

Hi folks,

today was the first day of technical sessions with the Windows Embedded product group. The main topic was technical details on Windows Embedded Compact 2013 (No it’s not called Window Embedded CE/Compact 8).

As all the sessions are under NDA since Microsoft is disclosing confidential information, I really can’t tell you about the technical content discussed (as much as I would like to). But be ensured that the Microsoft guys were really sweating with all of our questions – Thanks a lot for the interesting content guys!

Have fun!

MVP Summit 2013 touristy stuff…

Hi folks,

Since we are in the States now, of course we had to do some touristy stuff.

First we had a burger at Fatburger, afterwards we went shopping on a Sunday (impossible in most of Europe)! After shopping for some Levi’s jeans I treated myself to a Microsoft Surface RT device. I must say I am very happy with it!

Lastly here are some impressions of Seattle…

Have fun!

MVP Summit 2013 preview

Hi folks,

Nicolas and I are off to this year’s Microsoft MVP Summit in Bellevue/Redmond, WA.

I am really looking forward to discuss exciting topics like Windows Embedded Compact 2013 – the successor of Windows Embedded Compact 7, Windows Embedded Standard 8, etc with the Windows Embedded team at Microsoft as well as with fellow MVPs!

Also the networking aspect with both fellow MVPs as well as with Microsoft is very important for me!

Most of those discussions are under NDA so we cannot Blog about them yet, however we will Blog as much about the MVP Summit as possible.

Have fun!
